At the beginning of the 2nd millennium BC, small settlements in Anatolia were replaced by increasingly large centers. This urbanization led to the emergence of different social classes on the one hand, and on the other hand, it attracted the attention of the surrounding peoples and caused them to migrate. With the increasing population, the consumption of these cities naturally increased to a great extent. Eventually, cities that were particularly suitable in terms of their geographical location became important markets and rapidly became rich. This period of Anatolia is called the Middle Bronze Age.
